Sam Mendes is dating Rebecca Hall
November 28th, 2011 - 8:12 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Nov 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After months of denial, the rumored affair between film director Sam Mendes and Rebecca Hall has been confirmed. Hall had insisted for months that she was not in a relationship with Mendes denying suggestion that she was responsible for the breakup of Mendes’ marriage to Kate Winslet.
A spokesperson of Mendes told The Daily Mail on Sunday that Mendes and Hall were “in a relationship.”A close source further told the newspaper that, “They are dating and have been for some time. I can’t put an exact date on it, but certainly nothing happened until after Sam’s marriage was over.”
Mendes and Winslet got divorced about 18 months ago. Rumors emerged that the Titanic star was not comfortable with the closeness of her husband to Hall and that did cost the mariage. At the time, the pair had been married for six years. Mendes and Winslet have a child – eight-year-old Joe – together.
Mendes is currently involved in a new James Bond movie titled Skyfall. He is working on the project and is reported to be spending time with Hall in London. Hall is the daughter of British theatrical director Sir Peter Hall.
The Daily Mail says Hall was not available to comment on the report.
