Sam KinisonNov 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The “Rock n’ Roll Comedian” Sam Kinison left for the heavenly abode in 1992, when a car crash claimed his life, while he was on his way to a performance. However, his demise could no way decrease his popularity or diminish his contribution in the world of comedy. Comedy Central decided to pay a tribute to this star and therefore “Back From Hell: A Tribute To Sam Kinison” was aired on Comedy Central yesterday at 10:00 PM.

This special show featured some of the biggest names in the world of comedy like Chris Rock, Norm MacDonald, Lewis Black, Denis Leary, Kathy Griffin, George Lopez, and Richard Belze, who gave a tribute to Sam Kinison, discussed about his life, his contribution to comedy. The social and cultural impact of the comedy artist during his reigning era of 1980s and 1990s was also recalled. The legendary comedian, who was only available in documented records and occasional clippings since his demise, seemed to have came live on stage as these comedians of the modern days apparently brought him back through the special stand up comedy. The show also included vintage concert clips of Sam Kinison and his indignities suffered at the hands of females. Chris Rock commented that the only two people he misses is his dad and Sam Kinison. He wished that both of them were alive, so that he could show them what he has achieved right now, as the two had a great contribution and impact in his life.

However, the show “Back From Hell: A Tribute To Sam Kinison” was somehow overshadowed by yet another program on HBO, “Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue” which was aired at the same time. “Back From Hell: A Tribute To Sam Kinison” will soon be released on DVD in an absolutely uncensored form.
