Salman Rushdie to write TV drama series
March 13th, 2011 - 12:10 pm ICT by ANINew York, Mar 13 (ANI): British-Indian novelist Salman Rushdie is reportedly foraying into the showbiz world by writing and producing a new series for Showtime called ‘Next People’.
According to deadline.com, ‘the Satanic Verses’ author’s TV drama will examine ‘different aspects of contemporary American life’, reports the New York Post.
Rushdie splits his time between London and New York and “is a major American culture buff,” according to the report. (ANI)
