Sep 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the most talked about and anticipated films this year is the Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’. Going by the trailer of the film, the venture promises to be an out and out entertainer with Salman Khan donning the role of a mustached, corrupt and funny cop. The action sequences of the film follows on the slam bang, almost super human action of films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Wanted’. The character played by Salman Khan, however, is quite unlike all previous performances by the most controversial Khan of Bollywood. In this film he plays the role of a corrupt officer who has ample gray shades in his character. He is shown using strong arm tactics and also foul mouth his own fellow officers. The role of his love interest is played by Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha. The gorgeous young actress is seen as a simple girl who eludes the mischievous cop in the beginning and later brings him back on track when he goes berserk.

‘Dabangg’ is produced by Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan and directed by Abhinay Kashyap. Arbaaz Khan’s wife Malaika Arora is also seen making an appearance in the film in an item song called ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’. Salman Khan is seen performing some hilarious dance steps in this song as well as the one in which an entire slum is seen dancing in drinking, called ‘Peeni hai’.

The film also has some veteran actors that include Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. Arbaaz Khan himself, has played the role of Salman Khan’s step brother and the antagonist’s role is played by the upcoming Bollywood actor Sonu Sood.
