Sally Menke, Quentin Tarantino’s Film Editor Dies in LA Heat Wave
September 29th, 2010 - 1:59 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonSep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sally Menke, who is a fifty six year old native of Long Island, was found dead along a hiking path in the Los Angeles heat early Tuesday. She was the editor of Quentin Taratino’s movies. Her body was located just off of a hiking path in Griffith Park at around 2 am, after she had gone to walk her dog in the extreme LA record breaking heat.
Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter shared with the Daily News, “There were no apparent signs of foul play. It possibly could have been heat-related, coupled with whatever medical issues she may have had.”
Her dog, a Labrador retriever was found near the body unharmed. An autopsy will be performed. Some of the movies which she edited were “Pulp Fiction,” “Kill Bill” and “Inglorious Basterds.”
