Saif Launches Wynncom Mobile Range

May 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): With the other members of the Khan clan having left no leaf unturned when it comes to product endorsement, Saif Ali Khan was not one to stay far behind. Having been roped in as the brand ambassador for Wynncom Moblie phones, Saif was seen unveiling the all new range of 7 new mobile handsets on the official launch of the products at the Golconda Ballroom, Hotel Trident, Mumbai.
After a thrilling performance by an international artiste on the occasion, Saif made his entry on stage with his all new long hair and beard look. Saif looked smashing as he posed for the shutterbugs, with the mobile handsets. Speaking on his association with the brand, Saif said, “I’m proud and happy to be associated with the brand. Wynncom is a brand with a winning attitude and I relate to it on many levels. It also has an important quality which is its mass appeal. And I, too, have personally always tried to create that kind of connectivity with the audiences.”
So with Aamir pitching for Sony Ericsson and Shah Rukh going all out promoting Nokia, was it a deliberate decision to get associated with a mobile phone brand?
Says Saif, “That is not my criteria when connecting with a brand. The quality of the product I get in touch with and also the relatability is something that matters to me. And besides, it was Wynncom that chose me and not the other way around.”
Saif also unveiled the Wynncom website on the occasion. Mr. Rakesh Malhotra, Founder and Chairman, Wynn Telecom Ltd. said, “Consumer response to quality Indian brands has been overwhelming in the last 12 months, which has encouraged well entrenched and reputed consumer brands like us to make significant investments in this space to secure long term leadership in this domain.”
On Saif’s becoming the new face of Wynncom, Mr. Malhotra said, “We are very excited about Saif’s association with Wynncom. We believe that this association will be very positive for our brand as Saif is an icon for youth, and he stands for Class, Innovation, Consistency, and Quality performance… all qualities which mirror ours.”
Wynn Telecom Limited is a part of 2500 Cr SAR Group and the mobile phone range, which is to be under the brand name of Wynncom mobiles, has started out in the Indian mobile handset industry with the first set ranging from Rs. 1,500 going up to Rs. 5000, with the objective of targeting the masses.
