Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar: Ali Sher Eliminated!

‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar’ the singing talent show aired on Zee TV had a rocking episode yesterday. The show was called as ‘Qawali Special’ as all the contestants were to sing qawali songs.
Joining the judges Sajid-Wajid, Vishal-Shekhar and Daler Mehendi were Little Champ gurus Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Host Manish Paul was joined by child artists Afshan and Dhairiya to bring in a new dimension to the show. It was also the elimination day on the show so the contestants were a little nervous and tensed though they went off with their individual performances quite well.
Kamal Khan belted out the number “Akhiyan Udeekdiyan Dil Wajaan Maarda” which was originally sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Ranjeet Rajwada sang “Is Shaan-E-Karam Ka Kia Kehna” and Suganddha Mishrra, “Salaam-E-Ishq Meri Jaan”. While “Chadhta Sooraj Dheere Dheere” was heard in Abhilasha Chellum’s voice, Bishakh Jyoti performed the number “Tumse Mil ke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal” from Main Hoon Na. Ali Sher sang “Mera Piya Gher Aya”.
Kamal Khan was in the top spot as per the votes of the audience with Ranjeet Rajwada bagging the second spot. Ali Sher along with Suganddha Mishrra was the least voted contestants. Among the judges, Daler Mehendi performed on yesterdays’ episode.
Finally it was time to announce the name of the contestant who secured the least number of votes and it was Ali Sher. Now, 5 contestants are left and they will perform today to entertain the viewers and secure their place from elimination next week.
