Ryan Seacrest’s stalker gets 2 year sentence

Ryan Seacrest Los Angeles, Jun 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Los Angeles judge on Monday sentenced the stalker of American Idol host - Ryan Seacrest, to two years in prison. The judge also ordered the man to stay 500 yards away form Ryan Seacrest and his workplace for ten years.

The stalker is 25-year-old Chidi Uzomah Jr., and he was arrested in last October at the work place of Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest works at E! Entertainment Television. He was charged with stalking and two counts of violating a court order.

In late August 2009, Chidi Uzomah Jr. got into a scuffle with security guards who were protecting Seacrest. After that incident Chidi who is a special force reserve in the American Army was given a court restraining order.

After his arrest in November, Chidi pleaded not guilty and later pleaded no contest in exchange for the two misdemeanor charges to be dropped. Those charges were dropped and the judge gave Chidi the maximum sentence for stalking. Ryan Seacrest was also given a civil restraining order, that would ensure that Chidi keeps at least 500 yards away from him, or his workplace for ten years.

Chidi would complete his term in the California State prison.
