Mar 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ninth season of the “American Idol,” which is coming on air now, seems rife with tension. Not just that among the contestants of the show attempting to make it to the top and vying for the big title of the “American Idol,” but also among the judges. Or, to be precise, between a judge and the host of the show. What had been an underlying tension, boiled over to the surface in two of the latest episodes of the “American Idol.” The tensions that were brimming between the host of “American Idol,” Ryan Seacrest and one of the judges, Simon Cowell, came very much into the limelight in the last two episodes of the popular reality show.

The latest episode was just a follow on of the skirmish that took place in the one before that. On Tuesday, Mar 16, Ryan Seacrest overstepped the boundary of the host and criticized Simon Cowell for being critical, but not constructively so, to one of the contestants, Michel Lynch, who crooned to “Miss You.” Ryan Seacrest felt that the comments of the judge, “corny” and “desperate,” were not rightly made.

For a moment, he went up to the judges’ desk, and while he spoke to Simon Cowell, his face was just inches away from him, all on national television. Simon Cowell asked him to get back on the stage, saying that the whole ting was getting “very uncomfortable” for him. The next day, Simon Cowell started the show drawing the fight from the day before, asking Ryan Seacrest if he would like to exchange places with him.
