ryan July 15, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The Canadian television and film actor Ryan Reynolds, has injured his shoulder during shooting on the New Orleans set of the DC comic movie Green Lantern. The movie is set to release on June 17, 2011.

The 33 year old actor had just had a minor shoulder injury following the accident. However, this was not the first case of accident on the set of a film. Some actors try to get into the action even when there are stunt doubles and get hurt in the process.

Ryan Reynolds will be playing the role of a test pilot for the United States Air Force named Hal Jordan. He becomes the first earthman, who has ever been inducted into the Green Lantern Corps.

American actress Blake Lively will essay the role of a woman called Carol Ferris who manages the aerospace company of her father. She falls in love with Green Lantern.

Blake elaborated, “I am spiraling around 40 feet above in the air, which is the best ever workout one can do. It’s thrilling and exhilarating as well as nauseating. After doing that for ten minutes, you must see your body the next day!”

So, it is not so easy to be a part of the Green Lantern team. You must be fit both physically and mentally. The 33 year old actor Ryan was in pain and he treated himself immediately by applying ice on the injured portion.

The Green Lantern is being shot in New Orleans since the early spring of 2010.

We hope that ‘Green Lantern’ is back on the sets again and the movie releases on the scheduled date next year.
