rocky_horrorOct 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ryan Murphy now seems to be indispensable with the elaborate Elizabethan costumes. The creator of “Glee”, who recently created a history by recreating the 1975 cult movie “Rocky Horror” on his own show “Glee” has been asked to make a feature film remake of the same.

Fox 2000 is “courting” Ryan Murphy to direct “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. The idea struck Fox 2000, when it came to know that the director has given a tribute to this movie in one of the “Glee” episodes of season two, “The Rocky Horror Glee Show” which is supposed to be aired on October 26, just before the Halloween Day. “Rocky Horror” was a musical theatrical film, starring Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Tim Curry, and Meatloaf. An innocent couple played by Sarandon as ‘Janet’ and Bostwick as ‘Brad’, resorts to a creepy castle, as their car breaks down in the rain. They discover that the castle is inhabited with strange and ghastly people under the leadership of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, payed by Tim Curry. The musical drama follows as Brad gets involved in certain sexual pranks with the other residents of the old castle.

Ryan Murphy will be helped by the original producer of “Rocky Horror”, Lou Adler. The “Glee” creator is quite excited about the movie as by now, he is well acquinted with the theme and flavor of the story, after directing “Rocky Horror Glee Episode”. However, critics say that there is a huge difference between creating a TV show and a full fledged movie. Considering the success of the original flick, Ryan Murphy has to put in extra efforts to make his version meet the audience’s expectations.
