Ryan Murphy Bags The Emmy Award For Outstanding Director In A Comedy Series

Aug 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fox’s popular musical comedy drama television series “Glee” was honored with 19 nominations for Emmy Award this year. However, the “Glee” aficionados were a bit disappointed when the series could manage to bag only 3 Primetime Emmy Award 2010. Last night was the gala evening of 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards 2010. The director and writer of the comedy series, Ryan Murphy won the prestigious award for An Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series.
Ryan Murphy is the Golden Globe award-winning creator of “Nip/Tuck”. Previously also he was nominated many times for his outstanding contributions in the television industry. The writer, film and television director was happy and excited when he bagged the award for the Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series “Glee”. The director could not stop smiling while he received the much coveted prestigious award. Ryan Murphy thanked everyone related to the series and also the channel Fox for its support. The director said that he is “shocked” to get the award. Ryan Murphy thanked his designer Tom Ford for his tuxedo.
It was a dream come true for the “Eat Pray Love” director and he thanked the whole cast and crew of “Glee” and added that he loves all of them. The director also shared some of thoughts which inspired him to make one of the most popular television series “Glee”. While speaking about the drama series Ryan Murphy said that “Glee” is about the importance of “arts” education and then he dedicated his award to all his teachers who taught him to sing and “finger-paint”. Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch also got Emmy Awards 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy respectively.
