Los Angeles, Jan 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ryan Gosling believes that it was because of the way he and fellow actress, Michelle Williams played the romantic role in the movie “Blue Valentine” that got the movie the NC-17 rating.

The movie appealed against that particular rating and subsequently, it has been brought to R—which will undoubtedly help in the popularization of the movie.

Gosling described the scene that he says got the movie the initial rating. He said that they got to play the sex scene at a particular part of the film and the sex felt so “real” that they had a hard time performing it.

He however said that they should rather be recommended rather than reprimanded for the role that they played.

The 30-year-old further revealed that after wrapping the movie, he had a hard time breaking the relationship that existed in the movie.

He said that, “Michelle and I found it hard to take off our wedding bands when it was over. We’d built this castle and then had to tear it down.”

Michelle perfectly agreed and said that she was “proud” of the way she and Gosling played the sex scenes in the movie.
