Ryan Gosling latest project is ‘The ides of March’
October 10th, 2011 - 7:38 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Ryan Gosling’s latest project is the political drama “The Ides of March.” The movie also features stars like George Clooney and Phillip Seymor Hoffman. The drama is about a struggle between two politicians to get the nod from Democrat voters for the presidential elections.
In the movie, Gosling plays the role of Stephen Myers who is a junior campaign manager of George Clooney’s character. Mike Morris, the character of Clooney in the movie, is a Democratic Presidential candidate and the governor of Pennsylvania. His opponent in the movie is Michael Mantell’s character Sen. Ted Pullman of Arkansas.
The highlight of the movie is the preparation to the decisive vote in Ohio. Morris’s chances were ruined when scathing allegations surfaced against Stephen who was one of his campaign managers. Stephen seemed destroyed by the allegations but he later rebound to be an invaluable asset to the campaign of Morris.
The movie has received mixed reaction from analysts. If anything at all, the drama gives a behind scene view of how political offices are fought for in the United States.
The movie is a project of Clooney. He directed it and it also stars Marisa Tomei, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Giamatti and Evan Rachel Wood.
