London, Oct 20 (IANS) Actor Russell Brand is planning a spectacular gift for new girlfriend Katy Perry’s 25th birthday at the weekend - a visit from a petting zoo at a cost of around 20,000 pounds ($32,000).
The animals are all animatronic, inspired by an attraction at Hollywood’s magical - and very fake - The Grove leisure complex, where Brand also treated her to a movie.

“Russell took Katy to see the movie Where The Wild Things Are at The Grove’s cinema.

She was really taken with the petting zoo temporarily set up next to the Farmer’s Market. There are real animals in one section and then this amazing fake menagerie for kids. You can milk the cow and ride on the pony. It’s very kitsch and fun,” thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

Perry said she would love to have a go on everything but didn’t because she didn’t want to be photographed.

“While she was looking at a goat being unloaded Russell got the contact details of the event organisers. He has arranged for the zoo to arrive at Katy’s LA home for her birthday,” said the source.
