Russell Crowes spotlight fears for pal Leonardo DiCaprio after TitanicOctober 5th, 2008 - 2:13 pm ICT by ANI
London, October 5 (ANI): Actor Russell Crowe has confessed that he was worried about his buddy Leonardo DiCaprio after the huge success of Titanic fearing it might have a negative effect on his pal.
The Gladiator star and Leonardo became good friends after the duo shot for The Quick and the Dead in the early 1980s a time when both the actors were not so famous.
Owing Leonardos shot to global superstardom as Jack Dawson in the Oscar-winning Titanic, Russell admittedly dreaded that the young actor would be hounded by Hollywood promoters.
“I was a little worried about him after Titanic, the Daily Express quoted the actor as telling USA Today newspaper.
He said: The massive success of something like that, it’’s not always a positive, particularly when you”re that young.
“Suddenly you find yourself on lunchboxes and bedroom slippers.
That can have a deteriorating effect on the inside.” (ANI)
