Russell Crowe Starer “Robin Hood” Trailer Is Out

Dec.15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ace Film Director Ridley Scott is among the most renowned filmmakers of the present times and whenever he starts or announces a film, it makes headlines. His films are marked for exceptional details and stylish visuals. Some of his films like Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, American Gangster etc have created box office records and wooed the critics at the same time. So when Ridley Scott decided to do a remake of British folklore hero and rebel archer Robin Hood, it created buzz in the film industry. The Ridley Scott- Russel Crowe combination set the box office ablaze a few years back in Gladiator and the director hopes to recreate the magic with his version of Robin Hood.
The film is slated for a May, 2010 release. The origin of this film can be traced back to 2007. However, the filming got delayed as the director was not content with the script. Initially the script was titled Nottingham but later it was changed to suit the tone of the film. Ridley Scott made changes in the script to make it focus on the way Robin Hood became an outlaw. However, the wait of the fans of Ridley Scott are over as Universal has come out with the first worldwide trailer of the upcoming movie. The teaser is quite interesting and it shows glimpses of some key events of the film.
In the upcoming film, Russell Crowe will be seen with Cate Blanchett. It seems to have inherited some of the epic grandeur the director implemented in Gladiator. However, the adaptation of the British folklore tried many times by various filmmakers has been treated by Ridley Scott in a grand way.
