Toronto, Sep 7 (IANS) Actor Russell Crowe has denied reports that he will play the lead in a remake of Michael Crichton’s sci-fi thriller “Westworld”.
The “Gladiator” star was rumoured to have signed in a new version of the 1973 film, which was author Crichton’s first directorial venture.
Torontosun.com reports that the actor took to microblogging site Twitter to deny the reports, insisting there was no truth in it.
“WestWorld purely a rumour, I’ve never been contacted about it,” he wrote.
He also set the record straight about claims that he was taking over from late actor Heath Ledger in “Dirt Music”, an adaptation of Tim Winton’s award-winning book - insisting the project was a long way from completion.
“Dirt Music is still off in the never, never somewhere,” he said.
