Russell Brand takes meditation course
December 8th, 2009 - 1:43 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Dec 8 (IANS) British comic actor Russell Brand recently returned from a four-day retreat to master the art of transcendental meditation.
The practice, which sees devotees use a repeated mantra to gain inner calm, was established by The Beatles’ favourite Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Brand is a long-standing fan of Eastern mysticism and visited the late holy man’s university in Iowa, America to undertake the four day course, reported thesun.co.uk
