Russell Brand says meditation has improved his life
December 15th, 2010 - 5:51 pm ICT by ANINew York, Dec 15 (ANI): Comic Russell Brand has confessed that meditation has changed his life for the better.
The actor, who dabbled in drugs and booze but has been clean for eight years, said, “Crack, heroin, they’re all nice at first but in case you haven’t noticed there are a few detrimental effects after that.”
Brand was speaking at the David Lynch Foundation “Change Begins Within” benefit at MoMA this week, reports the New York Post.
Brand also said Lynch taught him about transcendental meditation and told him: “When someone says something stupid, instead of hitting them in the head with a baseball bat, you say, ‘That’s a really good idea. It’s just not the right idea for this.’ ” (ANI)
