Ontario, Oct 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Canadian authorities refused comedian Russell Brand entry into the country. Brand was going to perform in the country but the incident forced him to postpone the show over the weekend.

Canadian authorities did not allow Brand entry into the country through Orillia on Saturday ahead of the show at Casino Rama. Desperate not to disappoint his fans, the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” actor kept his fans updated with series of tweets.

One of the tweets of Brand read, “Help! I’m gonna be late for Casino Rama show unless someone can force Canadian customs officials to let us land in Orillia!… How do you manipulate customs officials? Wasn’t Hitler’s father a customs officer? I’m pretty sure he was… Let me in! I must perform at Casino Rama, Orillia tonight at 9 for 5000 Canadians!”

After it became apparent that he cannot get into the country, Brand sent a last tweet and apologized to the fans saying the show has been postponed because he will not be allowed to enter the country. This is not the first time that Brand has been locked out of a country.

In May this year, Japanese officials had to deport the standup comedian from the country because of his record with drugs. It is not clear why the Canadian authorities refused Brand entry into the country this time.
