London, Dec 27 (ANI): Brit comedian Russell Brand is said to have popped the question to Katy Perry.

Brand officially proposed during her quick trip to Britain last week for a pre-Christmas get together and the two are beyond thrilled by the fact that they’re heading up the aisle.

“Russell knows Katy’s the one for him,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.

“They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work,” the source added.

However, Perry has turned her nose up at the pricey Cartier ring that her beau presented to her.

Brand is now on the hunt for a suitable ring to give her on New Year’s Eve.

The source said: “Russell is ­searching for a jewellery designer to make up a ring in time for New Year after the pair ­discussed what they wanted to have.” (ANI)
