Russell Brand faces trouble from Katy Perry after ‘battered beau’ joke

London, June 13 (ANI): Comedian Russell Brand, who is engaged to marry singer Katy Perry, has landed himself in trouble after he jokingly called himself a battered boyfriend.
He said that Perry regularly punches him when she is angry in a US TV interview.
“When she gets angry she punches me hard in the stomach. I have to pretend it doesn’t hurt but it does,” News of the World quoted him as telling CNN’s Brooke Anderson.
But the comments may not go down well with Katy, 25. Her best pal Rihanna was beaten by former boyfriend Chris Brown.(ANI)
