New York, July 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has sold his luxurious 10-room Upper East Side for a whopping $11.5 million, if recent reports are to be believed. A broker has revealed to the media that the talk show presenter sealed the contract sometime late last week with a buyer, whose identity has not been disclosed as yet.

It can be recalled that Rush Limbaugh had pledged to move out of New York City in the wake of the income-tax surcharge which was adopted by the state last year. The popular chat show presenter had then emphasized that he did not wish to reside in the city anymore due to the high taxes that were imposed on wealthy home-owners in New York. After the news of Rush Limbaugh selling his 4,600 square-foot Fifth Avenue condo has surfaced, it seems that he was indeed serious about his plans to stay away from the city.

The lavish penthouse overlooking the Central Park at East 86th Street had been put in the market by the television personality in the month of March for a staggering $12.5 million. Reports have stated that after the condo was in the market without generating much of an interest among the prospective buyers, Rush Limbaugh has to slash the price of the penthouse by about a million and the deal was ultimately sealed at $11.5 million.

The plush Fifth Avenue, ten-room condo was purchased by the 59-year-old talk show host in the year 1994 for just about $5 million. Rush Limbaugh is known to mainly reside in Florida from where his show is aired.
