New York City, June 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh likened President Barack Obama to the Kardashian family last Tuesday because of Obama’s celebrity fund-raising ties. He accused the president of having his touch with average US citizens, claiming that Obama no longer related to Americans, labelling him “Barack Hussein Kardashian.” Obama’s press secretary Jay Carney and other White House spokespeople have later dismissed Limbaugh’s mockery.

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor, appear in the latest advertisements for President Obama’s campaign. Kim Kardashian, socialite and TV personality, recently attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Rush Limbaugh’s talk show began broadcasting in 1984 at Sacramento radio station KFBK. Four years later, he began broadcasting nationally from radio station WABC in New York City. Since then, he has become one of the best known conservative political commentators in US radio.

Limbaugh currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, from where he broadcasts the The Rush Limbaugh Show. He has also published several books, including The Way Things Ought to Be (1992) and See, I Told You So (1993).
