Rue McClanahan Death Reminds Fans Of Estelle Getty

rue-mcclanahan1June 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One more ‘Golden Girl’ expired on Thursday June 3 due to a stroke, leaving fans of the group heartbroken.

Rue McClanahan who played the vivacious Blanche whose vanity and sexual appetite made her one of the most interesting characters to write according to ‘Golden Girls’ producer Marc Cherry.

Rue McClanahan, 76, had her family and her manger’s family beside her at he time of her death. Her death has been mourned by the entertainment industry that suffered the loss of three ‘Golden Girls’ cast members in the last two years that includes the death of Estelle Getty in 2008.

The news of her death spread quickly on the web and fans were curious to know the number of living ‘Golden Girls’.

The death came within two years of Estelle Betty who died In July 2008 in her LA home at the age of 85. She died of natural causes and at that time Rue McClanahan said that she wasn’t sad about her death because Estelle Betty will always be remembered for her magnanimous achievement.

Another co-star of Rue McClanahan who passed away in recently was Bea Arthur in 2009. The only survivor amongst the ‘Golden Girls’ is Betty White who has re-found her fame.

Rue McClanahan passed away while recovering from her recent triple by-pass surgery. She also underwent breast cancer treatment in 1997.

The news of her death was given out by her representatives and Betty White told the media that her death was more painful than she expected.

Betty White and Rue McClanahan have worked together and been good friends for more than three decades. Rue McClanahan was confirmed to be a part of the upcoming movie project ‘One Big Happy’ that also had Steve martin and Diane Keaton.

She was also an animal lover and and an active member of PETA.
