Rudranil Ghosh: The Leading Man of Buddhadeb Ghosh’s next film

October 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Buddhadeb Ghosh has finished casting for his next venture “Anwar Er Aschorjo Kahini” (“The Strange Tale of Anwar”). According to reliable sources, the director has cast Indraneil Sengupta, Rudranil Ghosh and Priyanka Sarkar for the upcoming flick. The veteran director said that he did not want to cast a star to play the role of a sleuth in this movie so he had cast Rudranil instead. It seems like the famous Bengali director did not want to commercialize the movie, which explains his casting choice.
Buddhadeb Ghosh confessed that he has not seen Rudranil’s work yet but he has heard good reviews about the actor. In the upcoming flick, Rudranil will play the role of the private investigator residing in Kolkata. The movie deals with the life and aspirations of this private eye.
On the other hand, Priyanka Sarkar will portray a girl-next-door character, who is traumatized by the father’s suicide. The grown-up Priyanka wants to find out the reason behind the suicide but the cops won’t open an old case, so she decides to hire Rudranil.
The director was not eager to divulge the details of Indraneil’s character. He said that Indraneil’s character appears in the film for a brief period but his character is the key to unravel the shroud of mystery covering the other characters.
