Rosie O’Donnell to revive the variety show

Rosie O’Donnell has been trying launch live, prime-time variety show since 2002, she will accomplish it as ‘Rosie’s live’ premieres Wednesday, Nov 26 on NBC.

Recent competitions of many variety shows like, “Dancing with the Stars’, ‘American Idol’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’, Rosie’s live is going share some DNA with those variety shows. It will contain “singing, dancing, and comedy” and is “family friendly”. O’Donnell has been trying for almost six year and she will accomplish that goal if the broadcast is well received

Wednesday night ‘Rosie Live’ featured with song -and-dance routines, live from a Broadway theater and comedy segments. Scheduled guest stars include Alec Baldwin, Kathy Griffin, Jane Krakowski, Alanis Morissette, Ne-Yo, Gloria Estefan and Liza Minnelli, who sing the show’s opening number with O’Donnell.

Although O’Donnell is most recently remembered for the opinions she espoused during a yearlong stint on ABC’s ”The View,” ”Rosie Live” will share more in common with ”The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” the daytime chat show that aired from 1996-2002. Her goal for ”Rosie Live”: ”to give people an hour to forget about their troubles, to have an hour of fun, laughter and no politics, no arguing, no talking about controversial things.
O’Donnell is hoping Rosie Live can become a full series.
