New York City, Mar 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oprah Winfrey is creating a vacuum in 2011, when she would bid adieu to daytime TV talk show. Rosie O’Donnell will try to fill in Oprah’s shoes, with her new show that will debut in 2011. She is already a veteran on TV as she has hosted the Rosie O’Donnell Show for six years, and was also the co-host of The View for sometime. Presently she has a show on Sirius radio called Rosie Radio.

Her stint as the co-host of the The View was not peaceful, as she had to leave the show in 2007 in an acrimonious way. She and co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck used to be at loggerheads on the show, and finally Rosie couldn’t take it any longer, and she called it quits.

She is also the winner of six consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host. So her new show is something to look forward to, for all her fans, as it would be a newsworthy show, as her career as been marked by controversies. With her old show ‘Rosie O’Donnell’ which ran from 1996 to 2002, she used to average about 3.5 million daily viewers, which are just half of Oprah Winfrey’s audience numbers. However when Oprah calls it quits, then any talk show host who can pull in the numbers, will be in huge demand, and Rosie looks like a tailor made package.
