July 29, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Rosie O’Donnell, one of the former hosts of ‘The View’ and a supporter of President Obama, however, does not approve of the President appearing in a day time ‘fluff’ show. Her words were reported in the radioequalizer.blogspot.com.

Obama is expected to appear on the show today the 29th of July, 2010. The show was recorded yesterday itself and the current host Joyce Behar has stated that the President had been his usual charming self and had also shared a few jokes with the other ladies present.

According to O’Donnell, the show is a daytime show with an all female host and can be termed as ‘fluffy’ She also went ahead and said that it was often used by the politicians. Obama is said to have agreed to appear on it because his wife, Michelle, apparently watches it. She had herself been on the show before.

Rosie expressed her misgivings about Obama going on the show yet again. He had been seen on ‘The View’ twice before. She told her Sirius satellite radio followers that she thought it was just not right for presidents in power to do fluffy daytime shows on television.

The press secretary for the White House said that the president wanted to reach out to the people wherever they were. He also said that the president has been booked for the Jay Leno and David Letterman shows apart from “The View’ simply because the people will be there.

Rosie O’Donnell said that she was indeed happy for them but insisted that they should have gone for Oprah instead.

Rosie is certainly not the only one to disapprove of the president’s decision to go on ‘The View’. It has in fact, sparked of a political controversy in the ‘Politics Daily’. The governor of Pennsylvania has even said that it was something beneath the dignity of the highest office of the land.
