Lifetime Television on Monday announced that it has ordered 16 half-hour episodes of the unscripted new decu-series about the life of Barr. The series will be following the life of Barr as she goes about her daily routine in running her 40-acre nut and livestock farm on Hawaii’s Big Island.
The show will also chronicle the life of the 58-year-old with her son and boyfriend. Barr released a statement after the announcement. Part of the statement read “They’ve said ‘Roseanne’s nuts’ for years, and now I’m going to make that a reality — I’m all about nuts now, macadamia nuts!”
The show is yet to be titled but according to The Wrap, the show will be titled and will start airing later in the year.
Lifetime Television believes that Barr is the right person for the show. The network’s president and general manager, Nancy Dubuc described Barr as a force of nature that cannot be denied. She also said that Barr has the funny and honest character that the network believes will play to their advantage when the show airs.
