Rosario Dawson and Angie Harmon announced the 2011 SAG nominations

Los Angeles, Dec 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rosario Dawson and Angie Harmon announced the Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for the year 2011. This event was held at the Pacific Design Center Silver Screen Theater in Los Angeles.

And this time around the most nominations are just 4 and they are bagged by two movies – Black Swan and The King’s Speech. Geoffrey Rush has been nominated for the Supporting Role category for his performance in the film – The King’s Speech. His other competitors in this category are Christian Bale, John Hawkes, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo. Meanwhile the actresses battling it out in the Supporting Role category are Amy Adams, Helena Bonham Carter, Mila Kunis, Melissa Leo and Hailee Steinfeld.

The actors hoping to pick up an award in the Best Actor category are Jeff Bridges for True Grit, Robert Duvall for Get Low, Jesse Eisenberg for The Social Network, Colin Firth for The King’s Speech and James Franco for 127 Hours. Meanwhile the actresses waiting to pick up an award trophy in the Best Actress category are Anette Bening for The Kids are Alright, Nicole Kidman for Rabbit Hole, Jennifer Lawrence for Winter’s Bone, Natalie Portman for Black Swan and Hilary Swank for Conviction.
