Rosamund Upset Over Ex Boyfriend’s Sudden Wedding

October 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actress Rosamund Pike is reportedly very upset these days. And the reason is the sudden and unexpected wedding of her ex boyfriend Joe Wright with sitarist Anoushka Shankar. The “Made In Dagenham” girl was supposed to tie the knot with the director two years back, but the wedding got called off at the very last moment after Rosamund Pike designed invitation cards featuring intimate pictures of the couple. What hurt the actress the most was the fact that she was not even aware of the wedding, which concluded last month at a quiet ceremony in London.
Joe Wright and Anoushka Shankar are expecting their first child together. Only close friends and family were the guests at the September wedding because it was said that Anoushka Shankar did not want the unnecessary interference of the media. Joe Wright’s scheduled 2008 wedding with Rosamund Pike, on the other hand, was supposed to be a very grand affair, with the media and most sections of the entertainment industry being invited to the ceremony. Back in 2008, it was widely reported that Rosamund Pike was responsible for the breakup because it was she who had posted the picture of herself and Joe Wright inside a hot tub on their wedding cards.
Joe Wright, 37, is known for his works in “Atonement” and “Pride & Prejudice”. Anoushka Shankar, 29, the daughter of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, has now made a decent name for herself as a sitarist.
