Even before she has time to pickup her dry cleaned uniform, Rookie Officer Andy McNally (Missy Peregrym) was out chasing the bad guys. Andy is the new Rookie who seems to be taking her job very seriously, not letting anyone or anything get in her way. Detective Sam Searek (Ben Bass), who was undercover working on a drug deal when Andy arrested him has now been assigned to be her partner. While trying to find a drug dealer that Sam was working with before Andy arrested him, he sends Andy in to arrest a woman for failure to pay child support. She picks the lock, finds the girl named Emily, arrest her and then finds out there was no arrest warrant for her at all. Searek set Andy up to arrest the girl as part of his undercover plan. Emily was helping Sam while he was working undercover and the arrest was to protect her from the man they refer to a s Snake man. Sam and Andy hide her out while they continue their search, until they discover she is no longer hiding out.

A tip from an old man named Walter led the police to the site of the snake man. After a chase through a college, campus Rookie Officer Dov Epstein (Gregory Smith) is able to bring the snake man down, but not to quick there, Rookie Officer Gail Peck (Charlotte Sullivan) sweeps in to take over. Just what Chris needed to make him look even meeker in front of the other officers is a female cop claiming she took the man down.

Officer Searek falls into a trap while searching for Emily, now with a gun pointed to the back of his head he is not to sure if he will get out of the mess he started. Going on a hunch and gut instinct McNally searches Emily apartment and find the insurance Sam was looking for. A flash drive with files that could bring a heroin dealer down, was the insurance they needed. For the sake of Emily a trade is made, the files for the girl. Searek gets the girl and they leave, never knowing what was actually on the files would have helped to break the case and put an end to the heroin dealings. However, for the Emily’s sake Sam let it all go just for her safety. Andy suddenly sees a different side of Sam. He may appear tough on the outside, but on the inside, he is sensitive and Andy likes the side of him maybe a bit too much now.
