Ronson still shocked by Winehouse’s ‘Rehab’ successJuly 12th, 2008 - 3:05 pm ICT by IANS
London, July 12 (IANS) British singer Amy Winehouse’s song “Rehab” has become a huge hit, but producer Mark Ronson is shocked by its success. According to contactmusic.com, the song “Rehab” was a worldwide hit and went on to win Winehouse three Grammy awards and other prizes for song writing. But Ronson maintains that he had no idea it would go on to become so big.
He said: “Doing back to back with Amy, we felt no pressure at all to come up with hits. We were in our own bubble, just making music we liked. So while I knew it was good, I had no idea why her A+R guy saw dollar signs the very instant we first played him ‘Rehab’.”
