London, Feb 3 (IANS) Singer Ronnie Wood says he and his bandmates used to play Marvin Gaye records to be “romantic” with their girlfriends.

The 64-year-old rocker and his former Faces bandmate Rod Stewart shared a love of Motown music when they shared a house together and admits the “moving” songs were key to the success of some of their early relationships.

“Coming up next I’ve got Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. When I used to live with Rod Stewart back in the old days we used to listen to this album when it first came out…,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Wood as saying.

“Marvin and Tammi were very moving, and our first girlfriends, we used to get all romantic and play this song, ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, to them,” he added.
