Sep 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ron Artest has proved yet again that sportstars can rule the road whenever they want and in whatever they want. The Los Angeles Lakers star became the center of media attention after being pulled over on Monday in a car that looked straight out of the racetrack. To top it all, Ron Artest was seen wearing a helmet inside the car. The Eagle Roadster, which the basketball player was driving became a hot search in the web after the photos of the star being pulled over released in the media.
Though it is legal to drive the Eagle Roadster on road, it is designed to look like an Indy car that is built for some mind boggling speeds. The vehicle has two seats and a Chrysler engine which the official website of Eagle Roadster claims can reach speeds up to 150 mph. A rep of the sports star has denied reports that he was pulled over for over-speeding. He explained that the cops stopped Ron Artest because the registration of the car had expired.
In spite of the rep’s denial that Ron Artest was pulled over for over speeding, the photo of Ron Artest in the over-sized go-cart has become a rage on the web for its sheer hilariousness. Ron Artest was seen taking off his helmet and smiling to the officer who pulled him over. The red color car looks unlike anything that one sees on the road. Insiders have revealed that Ron Artest is not a car fanatic and this is just one of the few cars that he has. Some of the websites have even reported that the car does not belong to Ron Artest himself and he had acquired it from its original owner few years ago.
