Miami, July 1 (IANS/EFE) This week saw no change in the top three spots on the Billboard Latin Songs chart. Romeo Santos remained at No. 1 with “You”, followed by Don Omar’s “Taboo” and Jennifer Lopez’s “Ven a bailar”, featuring Pitbull.
Intocable climbed from fifth place to fourth with “Prometi”, bumping “Te amo y te amo”, by La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas, down to No. 5.
Actor/singer Jencarlos Canela debuted at the top of the Latin Albums chart with “Un nuevo dia”, a disc of songs made famous on his Telemundo soap opera, “Mi corazon insiste en Lola Volcan”.
Canela’s arrival displaced the latest CD by Mexican rockers Mana, “Drama y Luz”, while Prince Royce’s self-titled album held the third spot.
No. 4 on the album chart was “Natalia”, a solo effort by former La Quinta Estacion lead singer Natalia Jimenez. Aventura’s “14 + 14″ dropped from third place to fifth.
