keith1Nov 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards’ promotion of his memoir “Life” has taken a violent turn. A Swedish Journalist named Markus Larsson has come up with alleged claims that he was hit on his head by the guitarist during an interview at a Paris hotel. The incident took place during an interview on Tuesday. However, Keith Richards has reportedly denied any such assault.

Markus Larsson has revealed to media sources that just 10 minutes into the interview, which was scheduled to continue for 30 minutes, Keith Richards turned hostile and angry. According to Markus Larsson, Keith Richards became “absolutely furious” and stood up to ask the crew and the journalist to put out the lights. Keith Richards wanted to settle the disagreement straight away. According to him, at first he was just surprised and thought that the guitarist was pulling his leg, however, he soon realized that the latter was serious. He tried to get out of the situation but could not.

Markus Larsson is the journalist who gave a negative review of the band’s 2007 Sweden concert. He had then described the members of Rolling Stones as “amateurs”. According to reports, Keith Richards had reportedly claimed apology for the bad review from Markus Larsson but did not get any. On Tuesday, Keith Richards became angry only after he recognized the interviewer as Markus Larsson. The journalist has reportedly said to media sources that after carrying out the assault, Keith Richards said, “You’re lucky to get out of here alive”. The spokesperson of Keith Richards however has a different story to tell and mentioned that the guitarist had only “jokingly tapped the journalist on the head” after a 20 minute interview.
