Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones’ death to be reviewed
August 31st, 2009 - 1:09 pm ICT by ANILondon, August 31 (ANI): The death of former ‘Rolling Stones’ guitarist Brian Jones is to be re-examined in light of new evidence, say reports.
Cops in Sussex, UK, have received new information regarding the death of the 27-year-old rocker.
The musician, one of the founding members of the band, was discovered dead at the bottom of his swimming pool at Cotchford Farm, East Sussex in 1969.
The coroner’s report stated the cause as “Death by misadventure”, though rumours about the star being murdered continued.
A spokesman for Sussex police has confirmed receiving documents connected with Jones’s death, reports the BBC.
He, however, says that it is too early to launch a fresh probe.
He said: “These papers will be examined by Sussex Police, but it is too early to comment at this time as to what the outcome will be.” (ANI)
