Rolling Stone tries to shake off ‘junkie’ image with tell-all
November 4th, 2010 - 5:43 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 4 (ANI): The Rolling Stones’ star Keith Richards has revealed that he has attempted to shake off his ‘junkie’ image in his autobiography called ‘Life’.
The rock icon’s book is a compilation of his journey from a humble beginner to a global superstar.
“I thought I’d done everything but being an author is a certain responsibility… but I am quite amazed by the response,” Sky News quoted Richards as saying.
“You get stuck with an image, part of the whole reason for the book was to dispel some of that junkie, dopey, rock and roll… it is not like that at all.
“Hey I can get crazy but I ain’t stupid,” he said.
In the book he has also described his relationship with Mick Jagger as “unbearable” at times.
However, he believes that if the lead vocalist can be persuaded, than the Stones may well tour again. (ANI)
