Roland Emmerich announces ‘Independence Day’ sequels

London, Nov 17 (IANS) Hollywood film-maker Roland Emmerich has announced sequels to his sci-fi hit “Independence Day”.
Emmerich who is currently riding high on the box office success of his disaster movie “2012″, is now planning to revisit the Will Smith starrer with a second and third instalment, reports contactmusic.com.
Scripts have yet to be written for the sequels, but Emmerich already has big plans.
He said he wants to make two more “Independence Day” movies to provide “a bigger arc”, adding about the plotline: “It’s always about the Earth, and the Earth gets invaded”.
“One day we will do it,” he said.
