Rock star Vince Neil arraigned for DUI
October 11th, 2010 - 11:43 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Oct 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rock star Vince Neil has been formally charged with misdemeanor charges of drinking under influence (DUI) and speeding.
The rocker was arrested after police officer noticed him weaving his way through traffic in Las Vegas on June 27 this year. He is expected to enter a plea when he appears before the court on Monday.
Officer arrested Vince in his 2008 black Lamborghini after they spotted him speeding and weaving through the car. Officer pursued him and realized that he was doing 60 miles per hour on 45 miles per hour zone.
According to RadarOnline.com who claims that they have a copy of the police report on the incident, officer noted that they found that Vince eyes were watery and bloodshot when they pulled him over. Officers further wrote in their report that Vince’s breath smelled of alcohol and his speed was slurred.
Officers recorded that Vince was argumentative when they pulled him over. The report also noted that Vince was not sure when he had his last drink although he told the officers that he had three glasses of champagne at the Hilton.
Police breathalyzer test on him registered 0.216, which is more than double the legal limit of 0.8. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center and released the following day on a $2,000 bail.
