Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees announced for the year 2011 and

Sep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nominees for the 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum were made available to the general public on Tuesday morning. And the nominees boast of headline names such as Bon Jovi,Neil Diamond and LL Cool J. All of them sure must be ecstatic at the honor of being a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee and they would undoubtedly be hoping that they manage to secure a place in the prestigious Hall of Fame as well.

The nominees who will be receiving the actual awards will be given the honor on the 14th of March 2011 at the 26th Annual Induction Ceremony. 92 bands and 192 solo artists have already been awarded in the past. 


Those who were inducted in 2009 included Abba, Otis Blackwell, Jimmy Cliff, The Stooges, etc. The ceremony to honor inductees is normally held in Cleveland every three years, and it will be back at that location in 2 years. Last year’s ceremony had inductees such as Run DMC, Metallica as well as Little Anthony and the Imperials and they were all honored at the Public Auditorium.

Only musicians or music groups who have released singles or albums at least 25 years ago, can be considered for these awards.
