Mar 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) You may have seen HBO’s “25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert” which aired in November, which was a four hour long event with an incredible list of artist’s performing. While tonight’s 25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony won’t be nearly so grand, it is expected to be a spectacular event.

The ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. It will be aired on Madison Square Garden’s own national music television network,”Fuse” AT 8:30 PM ET. “We are very happy to present this year’s inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as they represent a great cross-section of artists that define the broad spectrum and history of rock and roll and people that have contributed immeasurably to our business,” says Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation President & CEO Joel Peresman.

The inductees who are performers are as follows:

* ABBA
* Genesis
* The Hollies
* Jimmy Cliff
* The Stooges

The non-performers who are inductees are:

* David Geffen
* Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil
* Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry
* Jesse Stone
* Mort Shuman
* Otis Blackwell

Although not all of the members of ABBA nor Genesis will be there, the entertainment will include The Hollies, The Stooges, and Jimmy Cliff. There will also be a mix of other artists performing for the show, such as Faith Hill, Ronnie Spector, Chris Isaak, Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Pat Monohan from Train, Peter Wolf from J Geil’s Band, and others.

An interesting fact: out of the 200 artists which current inductees, only 29 are females, which includes Frida Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog os ABBA.
