Robin Williams Wishes To Be A Part Of “Batman”

robinJune 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Golden Globe award winner Robin Williams has expressed his desire to be a part of the “Batman” movie. The Hollywood actor while greeting his fans outside the Ed Sullivan Theater for the “Late Show With David Letterman” has confessed that he would love to be a part of the next “Batman” film. The actor also added that he has planned to approach director Christopher Nolan to make him a part of the latter’s next movie.

The Grammy winner, 58, said in his interview that he would do “Batman” just in a second and play anybody’s role. The actor expressed his wish to be “The Riddler” in the next upcoming movie of “Batman”. He jokingly said that for him it would be hard to top the “The Joker” Heath Ledger as a villain as he is “a little hairy for tights…”. Robin Williams said that he was offered the role of ‘The Joker” and “The Riddler” but ultimately gave these roles to Jack Nicholson and Jim Carrey respectively as he did not accept them. Christopher Nolan has however revealed that he has started working on the script to Batman 3 though he has not decided anything about the cast.

Robin Williams and Christopher Nolan has worked together before in “Insomnia” in the year 2002. The “Good Will Hunting” star Robin Williams suffered a head surgery a year ago and recently he said jokingly that he feels like a cow after it. The actor however seems seriously interested to be a part of the much anticipated next in the “Batman” series.
