Robin Williams Wants A Role In Next Batman Movie

robin June 30, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The Flubber star Robin Williams has expressed a desire to act in the next Batman movie. Robin is planning to meet the Batman director Christopher Nolan with an intention of getting a role in the third Batman film.

Robin says, “In the next movie, I would essay ‘The Riddler’, although I known it would be tough to top Heath Ledger as the villain.”

Williams informed that in the past, he got the offer of playing The Joker and The Riddler twice but did not take up. The 58 year old actor would look a little aged as The Riddler.

Recently, director Christopher Nolan announced that he has started working on the script of Batman 3. He also said that in the third Batman movie, The Joker will not return. Earlier, Nolan stated that Mr. Freeze and The Penguin are no more a part of the movie.

In 2008, The Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp’s name was considered for playing the role of The Riddler.

The first Batman movie was released in 1966 by adapting the DC Comics character of the same name.

American actor and comedian Robin Williams rose to fame with his performance as the alien Mork in the TV series ‘Mork and Mindy’. Since 1980, he has acted in several feature films. For his performance in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, Robin won the ‘Academy Award’ for Best Supporting Actor.

The veteran actor has also won three Golden Globes, three Grammy Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
