Robert Pattison - “Today’s Birthday Boy and the Britsh Star of Tommorrow”

May 13th is the day when Robert Pattison was born, and Pattison became 23 years old yesterday. Yes Robert Pattison is the actor who played the Triwizard Champion, Cedric Diggory, who unfortunately dies in the end in the Goblet of Fire (the third of the Harry Potter films).

After the Harry Potter film, Robert Pattison has been quite busy with the “Twilight” films, where he is Edward Cullan, the main vampire. In the film “Little Ashes”, that is due to be released later in the year he will be portraying the artist Salvador Dali.

Pattison was born in London‚ where his father Richard owned a business of vintage cars while his mother Clara used to work in a modelling agency. During his early years of youth Pattison had a natrural inclination towards theater and acting. The first time he got himself involved into amatuer theater was through the Barnes Theater Company. He had his first backstage experience there and with time he began taking acting roles as well.

It was in the production of the Tess of the Dubervilles that Pattison caught the eye of an acting agent and then that his professional acting stint began.

The year he‚ portrayed Cedric Diggory, in the Goblet of Fire, the Times Online named him as the “British Star of Tomorrow” and very often Pattison has also been held as the next Jude Law.
