Mar 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Despite the fact that girls across the globe drool over his macho, drop dead gorgeous looks Twilight” star Robert Pattinson has no qualms in accepting that as a kid he could be described as anything but tough. The 23 year old actor has recently revealed that when he was younger, he had the experience of being beaten up on multiple occasions.

In an interview to a leading magazine, the much acclaimed actor has stated that he got thrashed by many people when he was younger and the beat downs took place not only once but many a times. The “Twilight” star further stated that despite being the victim of assaults in more than one occasion, he always believed that the beat downs were unprovoked. However, the actor supposedly took the assaults in good stride and implied that his violent past enabled him to edge the lead character of the movie “Remember Me” which is scheduled to be released on Friday. While talking about the time when he had just began acting, Robert Pattinson went on to say that during that period he behaved the way he thought actors were supposed to behave and this might have propelled many people to hit him.

In the interview, Robert Pattinson, who has been linked with his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart, also talked about his equation with the opposite sex and admitted that he is not really confident enough while approaching a girl for a date. Meanwhile, the actor is creating quite a buzz lately as he is busy promoting the Allen Coutler directed flick “Remember Me”.
