Robert Pattinson likes playing ‘weirdos’
November 17th, 2009 - 2:33 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Nov 17 (ANI): Robert Pattinson has no interest in doing a blockbuster action movie, and is most content portraying ‘weirdos’ in independent films.
The British actor, who has become a huge star since landing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight franchise, says that he loves taking on unorthodox roles because he can then blame any criticisms of his performance on the character’s personality.
“There’s no point (doing an action blockbuster) - I mean, I don’t have any material desires at all. I wear the same clothes every single day. I don’t buy anything. And I don’t go out anymore either,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Vanity Fair magazine.
“(When you play a weirdo), you can always have an excuse… ‘He’s a weirdo,’” he added. (ANI)
